Water Quality Reports

Monthly Water Reports

These are the most recent bacteriological reports, from samples taken by SSID's Water Sampler at 8 stations in Savary Shores on September 19. Five of the 8 test results show "LT1" which is the best possible result, meaning less than 1 Coliform or E.Coli per 100mL water sampled. Three samples showed low counts of 1, 2, or 3 coliforms per 100mL. Coliforms in themselves are not harmful, but do indicate an environment hospitable to bacteria, so if the retest shows similar results, the area must be flushed with water or chlorine, if directed to do so by the Vancouver Coastal Health Drinking Water Officer. Results of a retest will be posted here by September 27 or earlier. September tends to be the month most likely to show coliforms.

There is no April 2025 report because of a flight cancellation (runway construction) to the lab, after samples had already been delivered to Vancouver Coastal Health. However, we know from the bacteriological results of the April Full Spectrum Report, that there were no Coliforms or E.Coli.
