BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED OCTOBER 17

The water in Savary Shores is now safe to drink. All 8 sample stations now show LT1 (less than 1) counts of coliforms and E.coli, so the Drinking Water Officer has lifted the Boil Water Advisory. (The note on these reports below indicate that the boil water was in effect, but that has been lifted since the reports came in.)

However, Sample Station 1 at Blair Rd & Isabel Ln is now showing background colonies. They are harmless, but must be addressed to prevent harbouring of coliforms or E.coli. The DWO says the Boil Water Advisory will be reinstated IF Sample Station 1 is not fully clear next week. SSID will investigate the station and take measures to address the issue.

There is no April 2025 report because of a flight cancellation (runway construction) to the lab, after samples had already been delivered to Vancouver Coastal Health. However, we know from the bacteriological results of the April Full Spectrum Report, that there were no Coliforms or E.Coli.
